briecheese.com exists because brie is the most popular soft cheese in America and most of what’s written about it is either a recipe with no technique or marketing copy from someone selling you a wheel. We write the middle ground: practical, tested guidance on buying, storing, serving, and cooking brie and its soft-ripened relatives.
Editorial standards
- Food-safety content is checked against official sources — FDA, CDC, USDA — and linked so you can read the primary guidance yourself.
- Protected designations matter: Brie de Meaux and Brie de Melun are AOC cheeses, and we never pass generic brie off as either.
- If we recommend products in the future through affiliate links, those pages will say so clearly, and the links will never change what we recommend.
